One of my favorite James Cameron movies. What do you guys think of Avatar?

I honestly did not want to see that movie. I still have no desire to see it, at all actually.

I agree. It just doesn't seem like my kind of movie.

I saw it in 3D. I had to take the glasses off for awhile because they started hurting. The film was okay. Like they said, it's not my type of film either. I prefer semi-realistic, at least. lol The acting was really strong, I'll admit that.

I thought it was pretty good. I liked the actors, storyline, even the 3-D was decent.

I loved the film, although I had a cold when I went to see it, so my eyes were streaming all the way through it ><

I loved the appearance of Sigourney Weaver <3

Believe it or not, that movie is actually somewhat realistic. The science actually makes a fair bit of sense. Almost everything in it is theoretically possible.

    I loved it personally.

Maybe, Alex, but I doubt I'll be seeing any blue people anytime soon. Very Happy

There's very few films that I anticipate, and I didn't anticipate Avatar. I'd pick Titanic over Avatar in a heartbeat. lol

I thought it was meh. Newer today's technology and design. Highly and most likely not one of my favorite movies because first of all because it's not my genre of movies, but quite an excellent job on it. I have seen far better acting though overall a well done film. Just not my type.

I really enjoyed it. I Love the theory of controlling robots from the inside, or something similar. I felt like i coulda been Jake Sully when he first got into the avatar. a fit and healthy body. Could run for ages without getting tired. The difference between me and him, is my legs actually work Razz
BUT. I just love the idea you could get into anothers body and be in their shoes for a day. even if that body didnt have its own brain in the first place.... ^_^

It was okay... it wasn't as great as it was hyped for, but it was watchable.

It was too long. And kinda boring. I got up and started walking through the theater in the middle of it...had great special effects, though.

Agreed. It was too long, there was certain parts that could have been cut. Not to mention that there's going to be some sequels, so I can't imagine what kind of storyline they're going to have. The wasn't much left open exactly...

    Sequels? Oh god no. >.<

It was def. too long. During half of the film, I was like "Thank god it's almost over with"...till I realized I had probably another hour left.

It's supposedly meant to be a trilogy. I don't think I can handle 3 or more of them...
